About the Job
Korean-appearing and speaking. Seo-yun is a loving and sensitive mother to her two children, Jenny and John. Immigrating to America from South Korea to help her husband pursue his career in mechanical engineering, she lives in constant fear of being in a new country where she cannot speak the language. Upon arriving to America, her son, John, was diagnosed with a serious heart condition called HCM, which has worsened her fears and anxieties. She confides in her older daughter, Jenny, to be the spokesperson for the family and has placed a large amount of pressure on her to take care of John and his condition. Seo-yung is constantly in communications with her sister and family back in Korea. Ultimately, when John’s condition worsens and her son passes away, she goes through great, deep, and indescribable amounts of pain.
